Description
"Remember, remember, the fifth of November, Gunpowder Treason and Plot. I see no reason why gunpowder, treason should ever be forgot". A stark warning to remember an act of treason committed by the gunpowder conspirators on November 5th, 1605.
The most memorable of the conspirators, and usually considered the lead, was Guy Fawkes. To this day in England his effigy is still burned on bonfires across the country with a celebration of fireworks.
